Bill Jeans
Bill Jeans is the owner-operator of Morrigan Consulting, a tactical weapons training and consulting business in operation since 1998.
For over seven years he was the Operations Manager and Chief Rangemaster for Gunsite, the world-renowned school founded by Jeff Cooper. Bill was an Adjunct Instructor there from 1980 until being hired by Col. Cooper as Operations Manager in 1990, and was a certified Rangemaster on all weapons systems taught there.
He is a Marine Corps combat veteran of the Vietnam conflict, and served three years in the Corps prior to his law enforcement career. Bill retired from the Clovis (CA) Police Department in 1990 as a Sergeant, having been responsible for all firearms and tactics training for the department. He wrote and taught the firearms and tactics training block for the regional police training academy for over four years. He is the author of several state-approved law enforcement training programs for Basic Academy, Advanced Officer, Officer Survival and Instructor Certification.
He has been a contributing author for The Tactical Edge (the journal of the National Tactical Officer’s Association) and Fighting Firearms. Bill is currently a certified AZ peace officer and worked as a Deputy and active SWAT team member with Yavapai County Sheriff's Office for eleven years.
